A friend of mine in law enforcement was extensivley schooled in proper car-seat use and installation. When I needed a carseat she kindly gave me her opinion and she recommended this brand/model. I purchased one last year and I've been VERY pleased w/ it. It wears well, it's easy to get my son in and out of, the straps are easy to adjust for when clothing like heavy coats that require a different fit. The straps do periodically twist but it's no big deal to straighten them out. I've read reviews elsewhere about the seat that some complain the buckle pinches toddler's legs--but when you see that about to happen you (duh) simply stop and don't buckle. It's the "high-sign" that baby isn't properly in the seat. You simply have to get the baby's back-side against the back side of the seat...or in other words make certain that baby/toddler is not slouching in the seat. It took me a few times to see how/why this happens but I think it's actually a GREAT safety feature. Any parent who'd force the buckle w/ baby/toddler's legs in harm's way simply need to pay attention and SLOW DOWN. My son is 2 and Baby #2 is on the way and so this will be our second purchase.

I've been using this seat since my son was 8 months old. He is now 2 1/2 and the seat has held up great. I have a very small 2 door car, so it was a little tight when used RF, but still easy to use. The seat fits even better now, FF. It is super easy to install, I have to take it out often to clean my car because of my messy toddler. The straps are easy to adjust in height, and tighten or loosen to accommondate clothing. I only wish the cup holder was a little deeper so my son's cup wouldn't fall out on turns. Other than that, this seat is a good seat and I highly recommend it. Baby 2 is almost here, and I plan on buying her this same seat, Cosco Alpha Omega Elite.

We bought this for our second baby back in 2005 after he outgrew his infant seat. Now our third baby is using it. It has held up WONDERFULLY two kids later! I would highly recommend this seat. Great purchase & worth the money.

I bought this car seat when my daughter turned one, she was getting too big for her first car seat. I choose this car seat because of its features. I have found it to be easy to remove and put back in from one car to another. It is easy to clean and my daughter likes riding in it. I highly recommend this car seat because about two weeks ago my daughter and i were involved in a car accident. I was crossing an intersection and a car ran a red light and hit us. My truck was totaled but my daughter and i came out of it fine. The car seat held up. I give credit to this car seat for saving my daughter live.

This is an excellent buy. I got it as a gift from my father for my son when he was 6 months old and outgrowing his infant seat. He is now 17 months old and is very comfortable in this seat. I was in an accident 2 weeks ago and this car seat had kept my son safe with no injuries. We will be purchasing the SAME model car seat.
*NOTE* If you are ever in a car accident, you MUST get a new car seat, regardless of how minor the accident is.

Easy to adjust, hard to clean

I actualy got this seat for a friend. I bought it used so I had to wash it before hand. It was hard to wash the cover it is made up of a lot of pieces and it is hard to move it around the plastic pieces. But it is doable. The one thing I like is that the straps are so easy to adjust. That is my number one issue with car seats parents never have them adjusted properly. This seat should change that. You can change the strap heights without ever removing the seat from the car. I may buy it new if I needed to. I have not gone carseat shopping.

Cleaning problems

First I will admit that this seat has been my primary carseat for 4 years (2 kids), so in the end it has definately served us well. However it has been a cleaning problem from day 1. The plastic pieces that hold the liner to the seat are difficult to remove and I end up frustrated and prying with either a screwdriver or butter knife. After about the first 18 months of use the padding on the underside was coming out of the liner, I cut it out and simply place it between the liner and the seat now.
